Come and enjoy our family farm De Weitens, where you can stroll around among the fruit trees and vegetable fields, feed our chickens, search for all the insects in the garden or spend the night among the walnut trees!

At the ecological garden, Jack will gladly show you around and tell you all about ecological gardening, the sustainable and CO2-neutral set-up and at Wilma's Terrace you can enjoy homemade cakes or lunch with a cup of coffee or a pot of fresh herbal tea, all freshly picked from our herb garden! Or try a delicious Brabant sausage roll made by Wilma.

You can also stay overnight at our SVR mini campsite in this beautiful location, right in the middle of the walnut grove. You can stay in one of our energy-neutral cabanas (tiny houses) or bring your own campervan or caravan to one of our campervan pitches. You can choose from various packages: a tasty breakfast with local produce, a walk along the insect trail, or simply relaxing in the Dutchtub? Corinne warmly welcomes you and looks forward to ensuring you have a lovely stay.

Our story

Our story

De Weitens consists of 3 parts. The ecological market garden is led by Jack, Wilma's terrace is clear and the cabanas are run by Corinne. Our story starts with Cor Verouden and Dientje Verouden-Mikkers. In 1957 they took over the farm from Jack Mikkers. Son Jack decided early on that he did not want to take over the farm and went to study in Utrecht. Jack traveled a lot for his work and Wilma wanted something to do. Wilma loves being in the kitchen, baking fresh cakes and making dishes with fresh ingredients. That is why she opened Wilma's terrace in 2014 in the ornamental garden of Jack and Wilma's home with the intention of merging the terrace with Jack's great hobby, an ecological farm, after Jack's retirement.
